Training programs
A variety of training programs in data analysis with complex surveys are held each year. This page provides information and links for some of these training programs.
Canadian Initiative on Social Statistics (CISS) Data Training Schools
The Data Training Schools are open to post-secondary faculty, students and staff engaged in quantitative research activities. Participants learn how to use advanced statistical techniques with complex survey data. The courses/sessions are specifically intended for researchers using longitudinal and/or multilevel datasets from Statistics Canada.
As part of the Canadian Initiative on Social Statistics, Statistics Canada and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council jointly support Data Training Schools at several universities each year. A competitive grant program provides support for departments and research units in Canadian post-secondary institutions to offer training sessions for advanced analytic techniques using complex survey data.
